I just received an e-mail from the Twilight Beauty website and they have now launched! Let me tell you, the products are absolutely gorgeous. They have yet to hit the stores, so everything on the site is pre-sale only and limited!

Twilight Beauty

25 Aug

Attention Twilight fans, it's time to jump for joy! Now you can look like your favorite characters from the Twilight Saga thanks to Christina Bartolucci, creator of the new makeup line, Twilight Beauty.

There's the more luxurious Luna line and the less expensive Volturi line. In the Luna line you'll find "Mortal Glow Blushing Creme", color palettes (in Bella, Rosalie, Alice, and Victoria), etc. The Volturi line features "Deity Body Lotion" and "Immortal Body Shimmer", just to name a couple. The word on the street is that all of the actors in New Moon are wearing the makeup from the Twilight Beauty line! How awesome is that?

There is no release date yet, although I did see it was supposed to be released yesterday but the Twilight Beauty site still says coming soon.

In the mean time we can get our hands on DuWop's "Twilight Venom" that will give your lips a nice crimson stain. Amazon appears to currently have these in stock.

If you have a serious sweet tooth, then here are some sweets that will help with those sugary-sweet cravings. SugarMohawk on Etsy has some of the most innovative sugary sweets around. Let me introduce you to her SugarMelts, chocolate covered cotton candy balls.

Domino Magazine

11 Aug

This past January the bad news hit that Domino Magazine was no more. A true loss in the interior decorating world. This magazine was the most inspirational and informative decorating guide in my eyes. Unfortunately, I did not collect every issue and now I am wishing I did. The really good news is that you can find old issues on eBay! How great is that?

Also, if you don't want to buy individual issues of the magazine I recommend getting a copy of domino: the book of decorating. It's more like the Bible of decorating. This is BY FAR my favorite decorating book and I absolutely love the way it is laid out. Each chapter goes room to room and is filled with inspiration and tips. I cannot recommend this book enough!

Vintage Shops on Etsy

5 Aug

The other day I was tagged in a survey note on Facebook and one of the questions was "If you could max out a credit card, where would it be?" My initial reaction was "ETSY!!!" Etsy attracts amazing artists and all I can say is thank God for that. Not only does Etsy have handmade goods for sale, but they also have shops ran by people who sell their vintage finds. I know how exciting it is to find something EPIC through a mound of crap at the antique mall, but it's nice to take the crap out of the search. Here are some of my favorite Etsy vintage shops, minus the crap:

Ice Cream Recipes

4 Aug

Over the weekend I made a trip to a local craft store and I couldn't help but notice they had already brought out the Fall merchandise. This does not make me happy. After all I do love the Fall, since I am a Halloween baby, but I am SO NOT READY. So to show you I am not jumping on the Fall bandwagon just yet I am showing you some AH-MAZING ice cream recipes from Better Homes and Gardens. Not only do these look and sound delicious, but they're cute to boot!
